This thread makes me think about something that has been on my mind alot lately which is the different systems of thought (i.e. personality types) people have. I find myself to think very scientifically, everything must be justified logically, reality is objective, beliefs must be factual, but most people do not think like this at all and sometimes I come to a total impasse in my communication. Alot of people think in experiental, emotional terms, where there is no objective reality so logic and facts have no sway, and all that matters is subjective opinion even if it is arbitrary or doesn't make sense. To them whatever I think is true only for me, but my entire system is based on logic and facts which are objective, so I'm more prone to say what I believe is true, period. Well at least on the conventional level. But it's just my opinion things aren't just opinions?

I wonder if this systems of thinking affect political persuasion.
