Calcium Cloride????

I was wondering if there are any other products out there that would work just as good as calcium cloride???
I heard sumwhere that you could use thouse ice melting rocks. Is this true and if so what chemicals should I look for in the ice melting rocks.

realy? how effective would epsom salt be? i've been using calcium chloride and its does the trick but is quite wasteful, that is i have to go through a lot of that messy stuff... something more effecient and reusable would be good. what have people had success with?

Well would the ice salt stuff work????
Because I have a bunch of this stuff lying around, and was wondering if I could use it.
