Bamboo
    #4085112 -

I bought a small pot with three bamboo shoots in it.

two are straight and one spirals around the other two.

Do they naturally spiral or do I need to train it? Also, I want one of the other shoots to spiral...

any help would be appreciated

they train them like that. you can train the other one like that if it's still soft. the bamboo you buy usually aren't still soft. one that's soft enough is fairly easy to bend, you would be able to make a U shape without it snapping and probably touch the ends together as well. you don't have to train them to stay spiraled. it would be years before you noticed much growth besides the leaves with a potted one anyway.

yea they are d.sanderiana i think. fucked up eh? "lucky bamboo" sounds better than "lucky d. sanderiana" tho  real bamboo grows way faster than lucky bamboo, so it wouldn't make as good as house plant. unless you have a 60ft ceiling.
