Sit tight folks.. with the temps about in the 100's AGAIN it will take two to three good days of rain tell anything starts to show,
After that if it does not continue to rain the cubes will be gone in less than 7 days...
If it continues to rain than you need to hunt about every day!
Now we do have a front pushing down tonight and tomorow... so we will have to see. But one day of rain will do no good...

Just my 2 Cents...

Personaly i don't see anything good happening in the near future, i'm doubtful that we'll get enough for any good hunts.

I just watched the weather report and Houston has a 30% chance of rain. :laugh: Plus they're supposed to be showers all week. Looks good in the future.

When's the best time to hunt after rain? 1 day? 2 days? Go the day it rains?

It will take a couple days worth.. I say start looking 2 days after.. But remember 1 inch will not do! It must be a good 2 inch +rain to soak the soil and get them mushies growing!

What are all the different types of shrooms you can eat and trip to in Texas? Have any pics?

I've been only eating one kind of shroom and I'm woundering if there any more kinds I can trip to. Thanks for your help in advance.

hey this is awesome. a texan only thread. i love it. and i'm sure it will come in handy for me. anyway, i went camping in columbus this past weekend and found some fungus. i wasn't looking for any so it was kind of cool. i don't know what kind it is. if yall do it would be neat to find out.

Nice photos, but no idea on the ID. You'll need to take a spore print of it, I'm not educated enough without one to figure out what it is.

i'll have to learn how to do that. too late for those tho. too far of a drive for me to go back and get one. but it's been raining the past couple days. some really kickass thunderstorms. so maybe if i go look around here i can find some!
