i see alot of people talking about pink floyd
but really
one of the greatest bands in the world imo is the doors
their songs are perfect for tripping and perfect for just about every occasion
they are beautiful meaningful and plain crazy sometimes

who else here likes the doors as much as i do?
we need more of them in this place!

I fucking love the doors i have Jim/doors posters all over my room i own every CD and vinyl they have ever put out. i have all the movies and documentaries. i love to doors.

i like Pink Floyd too tho

they are without a doubt my favorite band. Sure I like other bands a lot sometimes, but the doors were my first love in music and remain dear to me :p

I like some of The Doors music. I'm actually listening to them right now.

I listened to one of their albums recently... it sounded like it was their country album or something (The Soft Parade...?); it was absolute garbage so I deleted it from my computer.

I've heard three of their albums, The Doors and Strange Days I thought were quite good. The Soft Parade was terrible.

I've been meaning to listen to the other ones but I haven't really been in the mood.

I grew up listening to the doors...they are one of my all time favorites.

I remember many Shroomy and LSD filled nights listening to them in the 70's and 80's. :smile:

I have several books on the doors...and a Jim Morrison poetry book.

I am also a fan of "The Cult" with singer Ian Astbury.
I wasn't supprised to see Ian Astbury tour with the "The Doors 21st Century".
Ian's stage presence always reminded me of Jim...when he played with "The Cult".

Download the video clip of "Firewoman" by "The Cult"...you will see Ian Astbury back in his prime...and he is wearing the same hat and belt that Jim used to wear...and he reminded me of Jim in that Video.

I had a recording they put out after he died...it was ok but you cant replace Morrison
