too easy? probably not..

Ok I am new here, I have read the rules and I am comfortable asking, why is it so easy for me to find mushrooms?  I am from a very rainy place called Oregon :smile:  Ok but in all honesty, are most of these mushrooms I find useless? I know the importance of identifying them correctly, but asking in a broad sort of way, are they useless usually?  I have gone down the street to places I would think are perfect places for mushrooms to grow, and low and behold and I have found hundreds and hundreds of mushrooms, different species, etc..  I could honestly have bagfulls it's weird.. the only reason I ask is because I have read a few threads on it being very difficult to find mushrooms..  and coming back with 5-10 caps or something on a day..  I know location matters a lot and Oregon is supposidly a good place to hunt, but should it be this easy and are these most likely just common non psilocybe containing mushrooms, what are your ideas?

i must say... all mushrooms are beautiful.

get a good field guide and study it.

i find TONS of mushrooms depending on where i look.  but only found p cubs once.

mushrooms grow everywhere, even in the desert.

all mushrooms are amazing too look at and hunt.

if you are asking if many of them have active chemicals that make you trip then no, those are usually rare compared to the amount of mushrooms that grow in your area. at least in my experience
