Morel Mushrooms
    #4025470 -

Hey all,

Just found this site and just registered. This is a great place. So many topics here.  Where do I start?

Anyways, is anyone here getting ready for the morel season. They should just about start popping any day now in Southern Michigan. People are already finding them in Indiana and Ohio. I was just kind of surprised that such a huge message board here and the Morel season so popular I haven't noticed much disussion going on about Morels.

Good luck to all and happy hunting

Actually the first mushroom report from Michigan just came in a little while ago from Grand Rapids Michigan. The soil temps are climbing up to 50 degrees in lower MI and that is ideal for morels to start fruiting. I think the games are just beginning.

Just my opinion. I am going to do some woods tromping after work today to see what the woods has to offer.
