Me too! It was about 8 years ago for me. I sensed His calling near the end of a mushroom experience, you know, that "afterglow phase". It's been an amazing adventure, far from boring as I thought when I was an unbeliever.
Peace and love to all in the name of Christ

i think they know most tool fans already figured out the yearly april fool's joke, that's why toolband.com posted the thing on march 31... what do you think about that? toolshed.down.net has it posted on april 1st, though...
still there is a small part of me who is afraid this might not be a joke... i know it is, but i can't help thinking what would be if it wasn't...

Well if it isn't a joke not much should change. Maynard was always for peace, love, understanding, without judgment, etc... if he did "found Jesus"... i doubt any of that will change. (Just hope Tool wont become history or APC)
Anyway what was last years april's fool joke by Tool? I'd really like to know.

According to sources, we can now announce here that Tool will be starring in a new reality series for Fox this summer. Though much information is not yet available, the show (tentatively titled "How Hard is your Rock?", though this is expected to change) is scheduled to run for eight episodes starting in June. What I've heard from people I work with at Fox is that the band will be overseeing a competition between other bands who are struggling to reach prominence. Fox is giving these bands a chance to make it on a national stage, with a twist (as only they could deliver): the bands will apparently be hanging out with the members of Tool in an attempt to win their approval and their vote to be the 'next big thing,' but unbeknownst to the bands, Tool will be mocking them the whole way.
Not the best April Fool's joke. The year before had hundreds of people lining up at record stores for a nonexistent Tool boxed set called "Gammon." Go to toolshed.down.net and read the stories of people who fell for it. Funny shit.

You say He died 2000 years ago, which He did. But I believe(as many others do) that God raised Him from the dead.

here are some lyrics that maynard wrote, just to try to clear the air.
"Jesus Christ why don't you come save my life now, open my eyes blind me with your light now.. Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow, what you need is someone strong to guide you, like me... my gods will, becomes me, when he speaks, he speaks through me. he has needs, like i do. WE BOTH WANT, TO RAPE YOU."
"come down. get off your fucking cross. we need the fucking space, to nail the next fool martyr."
"Die Eier von Satan"
almost every tool song has "occultic" themes.
I think I can be fairly certain that maynard doesn't have an affinity for jesus christ. i find it very funny that anyone would believe this

Wow, he said "I wish it was an April Fool's joke", NOBODY has ever said anything like that before to make their joke more believable.

I don't think God raised him from the dead. I think jesus was one dude that was here a long time ago and ascended on his own. and if god raised him from the dead, then he would be in spirit form, like everyone else that dies. god is the essence of life here and now, not some dude that died a long time ago and is in a book.
