I didn't drink last night!

Call the newspapers, can you believe it? I think I'm trying to learn about moderation. But I'm not too sure. My mother told me that I'm headed down the same path as my biological father, which startled me big time. I'm even thinking about AA. Just thinking though.

There is a history of alcoholism in my family as well , its hard to resist the urge.

I havent had a drink in at least a month , I dont even think about it much anymore. I told my self that getting drunk is just not an option , I did some math and it helped me keep away from the liquer store.

I'm already a smoker... smoking as I type this infact.

My problem is since I've been put on probation I don't smoke and bud and it just makes me want to drink more. Plust all of my friends are big into drinking. I need to find a more healthy alternative.

Ive been sober for at least a month and its strange , my friend at school was like "what are you on man". I told him this is me sober as a judge.

I need to get back to growing cannabis , so long as I have weed I dont think I would ever need alcohol. I only turn to the booze when I have no green.

man....i been trying myself.....i think i finaly got bored of doin it so much....ive yet to stop.....but i have cut down.....i generaly drink about 6 nights out of the week but definitly lookin to cut that down. just thinking about the financial prospects gets me excited to think about stopping, or at least not as much.

I used to drink a lot in high school, and I had the same problem as you. I couldn't drink in moderation. So I decided I would quit drinking, and since high school (2 years ago), I've only drank alcohol a handful of times, and only been drunk once.

I feel ya man. I'm really bored with my life. I got to school all day doing meaningless paintings, then I come home and it's how I unwind, but it's just so.... BORING. I think once this semester is over I'll cut back on the credit hours and get some sort of job, one that keeps me busy doing something I like. Maybe even doing some painting that actually means something to me for once.
