rye, bags, sealers and other great stuff

I was looking on FP, and noticed that they want $255 for a bag sealer... ouch!? Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative to using that? I just want to sterile rye in my pressure cooker using some sort of bags. BTW anyone know of using cheaper bags too?

check out 3m's no shake grain tek on his site: http://www.3mshrooms.homestead.com for a bag tek with no sealer. mycosupply i believe has them cheaper; and you can do a search online for bag sealers as well.

I use "zip ties" (cable ties) the ones where you put 1 end into the little slit and pull until tight.
They work for me on filter patch bags I have used them for months

Look at ebay for "impulse sealers". If you are patient, you can find a good 12" sealer for $15-$30. Much better than the $200+ retail prices.

I seen this bag sealer on TV a whiile back called the euro Sealer they sell it at asseenontv.com too,for like 20$ looks perty shitty but do u think it would work?
