Techno suggestions for trippers

I see a lot of posts asking about good techno music for trips, so I figured I'd put in my two cents, since I'm a techno god (well no, I'm not, but my mother says I have good taste in music, no matter what anyone tells me). -Jimmy Van M : Bedrock(evil Progressive House, it's so gosh darn deep, it's disturbing) -LTJ Bukem : Earth 4 (Nice easy listener, the first two songs are probably some of the coolest I've heard. The second song by K-Scope, sounds like it's from a Ballet rendition of Mission Impossible, the Flute and Percussion is tres excelente)(I might also add, Earth 5 that just came out is almost just as good) -Dave Seaman : Rennaissance:Desire (Once again, Progressive House, only a little more sexy, and european, which explains why it's so damn sexy.) -Goldie : The Incredible Sound of Drum 'n' Bass (The most Evil Drum 'n' Bass compilation I've heard in a looong time. It disturbed me very much last time I tripped, but it was so damn cool I couldn't turn it off. Start the first disc on song 7 if you're already peaking when you put it on.) I have to go. I'll post more later.

Yeah progressive house is the shiznit. I recently started listening to it. Haven't tripped to it yet though. Where can get these songs? For some reason Morpheus is not working for me. Maybe we can trade some cdrs?

I read somewhere in a tortoise review that the "cream of European techno" consists of: Luke Vibert Mar Oval UNKLE & Spring Heel Jack The only one of these that I have experience with is UNKLE whom I thoroughly enjoy. Any opinions on this list?
-------------------- Completely straightup downright digging it. Can you dig it?

No no NO! Spring Heel Jack is ok, but it's essentially Dub, and Hip-Hop. If you want good Dub, get Israel Vibration's new CD "Dub Combo". 'Tis da schiznat. I haven't heard of the others you mentioned, but anything Progreesive House is ok in my opinion. Progressive House is the soul of House/Techno/Trance right now, and is what I'm spinning right now. With tracks from Minimalisticks and Jimmy Van M, it cuts straight to the heart, and forces you to dance, no matter what mood you're in. Check out releases by: -Timo Maas : Connected -Sander Kleinenberg : Nubreed, Global Underground -John Digweed : Beautiful Strange (Not exactly Progressive House, but beahtiful none the less.) -The previously mentioned CD's in the other post. Also, if we're getting into the House, Disco, Funky House, Euro Pop area, check out: Mark Farina (anything by him is good in my opinion, especially Mixer, and Mushroom Jazz Vol. 1-3.) Jamiroquai : Funk Odyssey (his new album. Funky Disco shit.) Danny Tenaglia : Global Underground (The new one. The old one is ok, but really outdated.) -Basement Jaxx : Rooty (The album basically sucks in my opinion, but "Romeo" and "Where's youre Head at" are sick tracks.) -Chris P : Dub who? Dub You! / In Celebration of Now / ?(Anything by him is good. A San Fran. based DJ, I heard him through a friend, and now I'm hooked. If you live in the San Fran. area, or have a chance to pick up a CD of his, give it a shot. 'Tis worth it.) That's all for now. I'll try to think of more. I know I have some extra lying around. I'll try to find them.

Artists that are trippy enough on their own, even aside from drugs: Shpongle - tribally techno/trance/with some breakbeat stuff. Very very good. Divine Moments of Truth = the shit. Very rhythm of the earth sounding. Infected Mushroom - psy trance with the emphasis on really fucking good. Dracul and Sailing in the Sea of Mushroom are my favourites. Kinda scary though. Amon Tobin - acid jazz/downbeat stuff mostly, but all over the place. I really enjoy it because it's one of the few electronica artists that uses drums as a real instrument and more htan just a beat for putting samples over. If you can find the movie of it, watch Wavetwisters by DJ Qbert as well. Awesomely drug induced video. Wicked scratching concept album that tells a story of an intergalactic dentist. Juno Reactor - Goa trance. Trippy as fuck. Anything off the album 'bible of dreams' is godly. My icq = 24631249 if people want me to send them stuff.

i discovered once by accident that some of my favorite music to listen to tripping (nowhere near as much so in real life) is stuff like dj t-rock, or dj faust, a lot of really cool turntable trickery with great beats... other than that, i tend to prefer progressive trance (paul oakenfold, karri dijon, dave seaman, john digweed, etc), and always my two favorites, tori amos, and tangerine dream - if you feel like going on a journey (this music can get really intense) i made a song list: (i've since mixed this into a continuous mix cd since i love it so much) 1: Garbage - Milk (massive attack rare trance mix) 2: Mentallo and the Fixer - Mother of Harlots (multi-national brain washer remix) 3: Portishead - Sheared Times 4: Scorn - Dreamspace 5: Tori Amos - Mainline Cherry Ambient Spark 6: Bassic - Empty was My Soul 7: Rabbit in the Moon - Out of Body Experience (w/tori amos) the last song gives me the chills even when i'm stone cold sober... you really have to hear it..
You took to much man, you took too much... too much...

actually, i love marley, floyd, doors, soul coughing... pretty much everything for that matter, i tend to put some music (like the doors and marley) in the "stoned" category rather than the "tripping" one... don't know why... maybe it's genetic... floyd and soul coughing tho.. hell yeah. i know it's a "boy band", but sometime try listening to savage garden while you're "enhanced".. the self titled album with trulymadlydeeply and tearsofpearl.... the lyrics are great too for the most part
