Alright...so we got the snow thing covered...but we're looking for suggestions on really good trip music. I mean we already got some great techno underground shit...personally I loved the chemical brother's Fight Club soundtrack last time I tripped...but I wanna listen to something I've never heard before...preferably happy shit too...cuz we don't really wanna tweak...had it happen far too many times.

Try some acid jazz (Kruder and Dorfmeister are favs of mine) The Disco Biscuits are 'music for trippers by trippers' Then there is the old stand-by: the Dead.

tool isn't often identified as "happy music" but diff strokes for diff folks hehe it's all a matter of personal preference, whatever you identify as happy music (that you also hopefully enjoy) should be what you listen to. when i would trip i would listen to a variety of music in order to make it a full trip. i personally enjoyed listening to bob marley or jimi hendrix on the come-up, as it totally got me in a chill mood, just right for the trip, and when it would start hitting very hard I would listen to Beatles (Sgt. Peppers a fave) and for dark, Ummagumma or Echoes etc ... i personally believe that if you enjoy darker music on trips (which makes for a very intense and usually enjoyable trip) listen to Ummagumma, CD 2 in particular. I can assure you that nothing in the world will trip you out harder than a dose of "Careful with that axe, Eugene" ... but you asked for happy trip music, so don't listen to that hehe ... Beatles and Bob Marley I guess are my first choices in terms of happy music. Cream is also great, their songs are just as happy as can be. Have fun

I usually listen to trance or house. Mostly trance, go for ATB, Paul Van Dyke, and Paul Oakenfold... you could go download some of there essential mixes or albums from opennap servers or winmx if you use windows (www.winmx.com I think). If you use *nix go to freshmeat and look for a winmx/wpnp client. DJ Irene, DJ Icey, Carl Cox, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, etc. are also nice to listen to... not all of them are as smooth and "happy" as oakey and van dyke though : )

Can't believe no one's mentioned them yet: String Cheese Incident. Better then Phish in MHO (I really, really love Phish, too!) Carnival '99 is one of my favorite live discs, and disc 2 is GREAT for tripping, especially on shrooms. I'd also recommend Panic, but they can get a little dark at times. Dylan's good, Blood on the Tracks ebs and flows better than anything. It's word-heavy, obviously, but still good.

>PHISH for the love of GOD they kick ass.. and its mostly happy and mellow ;) I mention that no one mentions Phish anymore!!! It just makes me mad. I I saw string cheese once, but they didn't really do it for me. they do have some good live shit out, but just something about them i don't like. DISCO BISCUITS is the best Soul Coughing Beck Widespread panic I won't mention older bands cause there is no point, but some classical can be really intense when tripping, like Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" (it was featured in earth worm jim 2 on the "now jims a cave newt level" Mozart is alos pretty crazy

How about we avoid anymore Phish MAN!!! Or Beatles! Or THE DEAD!!!!!! let's move on, if you really want to trip, play Digital Love by Daft Punk, or One More Time by Daft. They are off the same record, Discovery, and I suggest listening to them on a really good system for the total effect. You have no idea how good it makes you feel. Also, The Ramones.
