amazonians and split caps

I know that splitting of caps is a sign of low humidity. But I have seen quite a few pics of Amazonians that all have the caps split and make the mature shrooms look like flowers. I recently fruited a tiny little shroom from a tiny little casing and the cap split AS it matured.

So is this a strain characteristic (predisposition to splitting despite proper humidity) or do lots of people just have low RH?
