It seems as though the oven tek would be a good way to keep airborn contam's out, but don't you also run the risk of killing your spores with the heat?

There is not enough heat to kill the spores.

Set your oven at the lowest setting, the warm air is just enough to keep away airborne contaminants.
Tell me something good then I might agree with you..

I presume you MUST clean your oven before you use the oven tek.
If so, this may raise suspicion for those growing stealthily. Perhaps this only refers to me, but males suddenly cleaning an oven makes them look like they're up to something.

I'm not a male, but I had to clean mine this weekend, before
I tried to make syringes for the first time. I was glad I finally
had a reason to clean it. If it wasn't for shroomies, I might
have gone another 3 years.
If my teenage daughter had been cleaning the oven, I don't
think I would have suspected mushrooms, but I WOULD
want to know what the hell was wrong with her!!

you guys should try easy off!!! for reals, you just spray it in there, and in like. 30 minutes ALL of the nastiness is melted away! i called thw company to praise them (real abridged conversation):
"hi, id like to say your product is great..."
"nice to hear... anything else?"
"oh yeah, my roommate burned the hair off his arm when he was cleaning the foam up"
"does he need medical attention? [in a really disturbed voice]"
"nah, just wanted to call and say it took all the nastiness off. thanks!"
they sent me some coupons too :)
a glovebox is a nice way to do it, and can be pretty stealthy (easily broken down after use, can be used behind bedroom doors...) and cheaply- a cardboard box and a 3$ piece of plexi from home depot and voila! no contams from innoculating, spore printing or agar work, 100% clean everything so far (according to HQ and her jackal).
