glovebox

correct me if i am wrong. a glove box is there to prevent contaminants from falling onto your syringe jars etc.my question is would it be possible to take a cardboard box and cut a few holes and put see through plastic over the top and spray Lysol inside. this would prevent contams falling onto the equipment.

would this work or is there something i am not taking into account

You got it right, that's the concept of a glovebox. Cardboard box idea would work, a lot of people have had luck just using a clear trash bag and working inside that.

Some install fans + Hepa filters to create positive pressure inside a glovebox, a great extra step but not needed. Still air box works great, just let everything settle after you put your tools,etc. inside, before you start working again. And as always, wipe the interior w/ a good cleaner beforehand and use alcohol on all work surfaces.

Anything to have zero drafts during your work will do the trick. Wear surgical gloves if your hands are inside a box or bag.

I was going to bulid one, but i'm kind of a bum i guess...

How do you let all the alcohol evaporate out of the glove box if you dont have + pressure? You'd have lots of flammable chemcials sitting inside of an enclosed area....:rolleyes:...
