Cakes on Geolite in Pmp

Ive heard differing opinions about whether or not to set the cakes directly on the geo or not. From what i got isn't that one of the big benefits of the pmp w/ cakes, or can the cakes get too waterlogged.

From what i've seen, cakes perform better DE cased. The geolite is only used for humidifying the chamber.

I never did it just because it creates a mess in your PMP.

I always put the cakes on foil, screens, or lids to keep the inside of my pmp clean.

Also geolite leaves a nasty orange residue on your cakes.

Yes when I made the PMP it was designed for the cakes to go on the geolite. Don't want orange res on the cakes then rinse the geolite before you use it.

Yea rince geo lite alot.. It will fuck with your bubbler, and the next time you clean it, you wont be stuck with a huge mess/

I just perfer them to be on plastic sheets i get...plastic dividers for folders....ive just had several cakes colonize the bottom portion of the geolite...they were very rhizomorphic during incubation and continued during fruiting...they fruited well but i had to dig up the rocks where toey were and clean em, cuz it had colonized onto the rocks lol....kool looking strands tho, the rhizos and the cakes itself looked like it did well from being directly on the rocks...
