PF cakes won't fruit: mycelium going crazy

Hey guys, I've searched around but can't find a post to answer my question. Basically, I have 6 cakes in a PMP. Two of them (Chitwan strain) fruited beautifully. The others (Puerto Ricans) will not fruit and they've been in the PMP for 2.5 weeks.

Even though they're not fruiting, they are active (downright vigorous in my opinion). The mycelium is growing like ropes down into the sorrounding geolite. I wish I had a picture to show you. If I pick up one of the cakes, a ball of geolite, about the size of the cake itself, gets picked up also because the mycelium has completely attached to it.

What do you think the problem is? Do you think they will eventually fruit. I've heard Puerto Ricans can be testy. By the way, all cakes were cold-shocked before being placed in the PMP. And, I'm pretty sure the environment is fine because it's in a no-maintenence PMP and two cakes have fruited beautifully.

Please give me some advice or insight.

You can cold shock them to induce pinning then

Yeah, try cold shocking them again. Or maybe you could make a plain verm casing with them.

Did you dunk your cakes? It makes all the difference.

I thought dunking wasn't necessary/too helpful at birth. Do you think I should always dunk at birth? Also, if I do decide to dunk, I'll need to remove all the mycelium that's growning over the geolite. Is that going to end up hurting the rest of the cake? Thanks.

Its always good to dunk on birth, and ive heard
Puerto Ricans some times need a cold shock, but its
your call now, dunking and cold shocking will set you back a few days, as the cake will need to recover, so you can either wait,
or try to induce pinning, 2 weeks is already a long wait though :\

too much humidity and maybe too much heat. try lowering both and i'll bet they blow up with shrooms.
