ID Help! Brisbane, Australia

hey guys, i checked a cow field this afternoon to see what it had in store. didn't find any cubies like i have in the past there, but did find some other shrooms i'm unsure of. if anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated! will be trying to get a pic online as we go...

1) a. Habitat- growing on cow dung, near river in brisbane.
b. Characteristics of the gills (color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc)- brownish gills, not attached, black spore prints.
c. Characteristics of the stem- thin, white, 8cm stem. bruises brown
d. Characteristics of the cap- white dome shaped cap, 1.5cm in diametre.
e. Spore print color- Black
f. Color that the mushroom bruises- light browning on after contact.

they remind me of what i know as blue meanies, but definately no blue bruising. thanks in advance

If they don't turn blue, then they aint Blue Meanies. It sounds like you have a collection of inactive Pans.

it seems that pic has been deleted, so i can't say if they look like that. on returning to the field this morning, i have collected a heap more. they do seem to have a blue tinge to the bruising i think. do blue meanies turn instantly blue? i figured they did, but if they take a while to change then i could have some good ones.

edit: definate blueing after about 20 minutes on pinched areas. i think this was a successful hunt :smile:
