Shark Bites Australian Snorkeler in Half
    #3944066 - 03/20/05 03:04 PM (12 years, 6 days ago)

CANBERRA, Australia - Authorities were hunting Sunday for a 20-foot shark that tore a man in half as he snorkeled off Australia's west coast, an official said.

Geoffrey Brazier, the skipper of a pleasure cruiser, was snorkeling with two tourists when he was attacked Saturday. He died instantly off the Abrolhos Islands, about 250 miles north of the Western Australia state capital, Perth, police said. No one else was injured.

"The 26-year-old man was bitten in half by the six-meter (20-foot) animal and death seemed to be instantaneous," police Insp. George Putland said.

No. The news section is for news that are related to mushrooms, psychedelics, drugs in general, war on drugs etc.

just imagine getting hit by some unseen force, as you try to kick n swim all you can do is twitch as you sink to the bottom of the ocean floor Then you fade out as the hermit crabs start to nibble at your ripped torso.

I imagine that must've made the other two snorklers a little nervous when they saw that happen.

Every person i've seen (on tv or news of course) who's been attacked by a shark says that they couldnt feel any pain. Guess it's just the immense shock and fear of being attacked by a shark.

Urgh, I hate things in water. I won't even put my finger in a goldfish bowl.

Is there a point to hunting down and killing this animal?

Didn't you read the article? It says the shark killed a man and therefore is guilty of murder and needs to be brought to justice.

It's pretty hilarious that they feel the shark must die.

"Oh my! The horrible shark! How could he DO that! How evil!"

Everybody knows all sorts of monsters run amok in the vast ocean.

Anybody who dips in that ocean should completely honor the territory and the risks that come with it.

So if I get chomped in half by a shark, I want you all to respect the shark, for doing what it's meant to do - prune the trees, so to speak; just as all forces of mother nature do.
