help hyphal knots in jar

I heard that someone has some aggressive mycelium in a quart jar (rye) approaching 100% colonization. Seems the mycelium is forming hyphal knots. Is that expected? Should that person quckly case as is, or should he/she reshake/break up mycelium one last time?
