Why are my tree oysters retarded?
    #3897577 -

This is the second fruiting this block has gone through, it's slightly worse than the first. The caps are completely underdeveloped. The first flushing the bottom of this tank had hydroton/h20, this flush i've just been misting it occasionally. I fan with the lid 2-4 times a day. What's wrong here?

(this is the first time i've grown oysters)

increase humidity (they're dried out) and up the air exchange by about a factor of ten. take the lid off, and leave it by an open window?

Yea, air exchange. I've found oysters don't do well in terrarium type environments.

Would a martha style setup with the cool mist and ultrasonic all hooked up be good for oysters?!

I find that regular plastic humidity tents work well when growing oysters. I would also recommend misting them more often.
