fruity loops

has anyone ever used this?  I just got it and its really fucking cool.  I'm making my own electronic music  :grin:  the learning curve seems to be really high though.

i have it and started using it, then i lost interest. it seems very powerful and it seems to have alot to learn.

I lost interest after a while as well. I am not too into making my own music though, so it was more for that reason that I stopped using than the program not being any good.

I produce for local rappers in my area using FL Studio 5.0 and I still don't really know how to take full advantage of all the program has to offer.

I downloaded it, an it seemed kinda complicated (or maybe I'm just dumb) so i just kinda put it to the back of my mind.

Got any good links to some tutorials?

I've used it for like... oh lord, 2 years maybe? To this day I still mess around in it in some fashion at least once a day. Good times!

Like others, had it and stoped using it.

Use Cube though, its way WAY better.

I started out with the original FL years ago...

I'll never use it again. It's for amateurs at best (unless you're 9th Wonder).

I now use an MPC2000XL coupled with a midi-controller, a multitude of VSTs, Cubase SX, Korg Triton, Tehnics SL1200's and tons of samples.

Fruity loops is good but only good :frown:

If you ever want to get professional then start learning reason and protools.

Fruity loops is disapointing when you start to get really into it, you will soon learn its limitations!

I've made 10 drum and bass tracks on it and 8 trance (goa) tracks on it.  After that I deleted it because it was having re-occuring errors with some of its sound generators and because of its limitations.

Most trance now a days is just commercial cheese!

I listen to every style of music, so I have no limitations in what I will listen to or produce. Although, I try to stay away from cheese and stick with stuff that has vibes, emotion. I like music that can strike a chord in the soul!

fruity loops was a great toy. i know i have iton disk somewhere here....i made some great piano pieces out of it. my only complaint is that as you go up the octvs , it does the chipmunk effect on whatever sound you've chosen. but one cant be too picky with free kazaa stuff. i was lucky it wasnt a virus. =D

once when my ex was pissed at me and i happend to be recording her...for fun =D...i took her angry voice samples and made them into a techno dance beat. she didnt appreciate my artistry though and thusly "you throw your fucking coat on the floor every day when you come home from work" never became a household hit.
