Smoking/tripping while your sick?

Has anyone done it? (with what), whats it like?, can it be dangerous?.

I ask because I just caught a cold and my sinuses are stuffed, its very unlikely but I might get a fever, and since I dont get sick often it would be a good opportunity to try a substance or two.

I do everything at my own discretion ofcourse so no worries. Id preferably like to know someone whos tripped with a fever.

Smoking while sick just makes me feel shitty, as if the high amplified the illness.

Tripping while sick just sounds stupid.

yea, i'd have to agree with Freek on that one.

I usually try to avoid all substances when sick. Just making it harder for your system to fight off the cold.

When i smoke weed while sick i feel great. It makes me forget about how shitty im feelin. Id do it anytime. :thumbup:

Hmm...maybe I'm the only one who has experienced something like this, but I ate a small dose of mushrooms once while I had a cold. I found that during my trip, I could actually breathe BETTER and didn't feel congested at all. I never tried it with a fever though. If you do decide to dose, dose small.

Several years ago, I got very sick. At the time, I was smoking weed every day. I ended up coughing hard enough to crack a rib :thumbdown:.

That sucked. I can't remember tripping while sick, though. I generally like to be in good shape when I trip.

After I had my apendix taken out, a friend showed up with a 10-strip of some green gel's that were very good.

I didnt want to eat any, but I ended up eating one, and was pretty laid out on Oxy's at the time. Very wierd trip, none of my usual nervous energy. Just laid there, tripped out.

I dont think it is dangerous, unless you have a high fever or something...I tripped on an 'eighth of an ounce' of dried Cubensis...it was uncomfortable having a cold, because my chest felt all strange and it made my body aches from the illness seem more uncomfortable...but after the peak I drank some beer and smoked some bud. I felt better after that..but if I was feeling sick now, I would just wait until I felt a lot better before I tripped on something...

When Im sleep deprived or sick like now Im more sensitive to sounds, music can sound awesome. With fever its the same thing but much stronger, I become sensitive enough where I feel a sound is amplified to the point that it hurts to hear it (not volume related). A sound like a flute or anything "soothing" sounds blissful.

*Maybe* its because my mind gets weak so its easier to concentrate on 1 thing over many, dont know.

Surely if you're having doubts in the first place then it's probably not a good idea? I certainly don't think it could be harmful but there is avenue to start thinking "what if this isn't just a cold" etc.
