Hi Folks,
Just wanted to know if a person could put a 100% colonized jar in the fridge. (PF Classic sub) for storage.
I ask because the smaller jars have colonized faster (duh) than the larger, and wanted to case all together. Im not sure how long it will take for others to catch up, and I dont want smaller jars to dry up or lose potency. Should I just keep smaller jars in closet till larger catch up. I estimate 2 weeks for lg jars to be 100% colonized Also wanted to know if sub could be stored in the cold, after colonised, just for convience sake.
Any takers?

I'm not so sure that that would work. I put my jars in the fridge when I'm ready to induce fruiting. Of course, they are only there for about 4 or 5 hours, so if you left them in longer they might stop growth and hibernate. I don't know, someone more knowledgeable is going to have to answer.

It works. You can keep colonized cakes in the fridge for several months. my longest was 6 months and they fruited OK thereafter.
