Silent Hill

Best game ever. I love this series of games so much, well 1 and 2 at least. Haven't played 3 and 4 wasnt really silent hill, more like inter-active frighteners (the movie with michael j. fox) with mentions of silent hill. I gots the craving to play tonight, but if I do i'll end up missing school tommorrow, I know it! So i'm settling for just listening to the soundtrack....anyone else love this series?

I hated the first two. Sorry. But I absolutely fell in love with the latest one. At least I think it was the latest... The Room I think it is called. Great game :thumbup:

Yeah, that was the latest one, I finished it, but I didn't enjoy it, 100% due to expectations though, and I just thought that the second visits was a cheap way to extend the game by making us play it twice. Wandering around in a foggy town does something to your head after a while heh.

I enjoyed 1,2 and 4, haven't played 3 yet though.

Perhaps I'll rent it for the PS2 once I beat 4.

Yeah i was pissed, cause I thought the game was almost over the first go around, so I used up all my health shit to make room in my inventory thinking that it was no big deal. Little did I know that a second time around, you would actually need the health packs. I thought I was like the god of gameing because I didnt use a single one throughout the game, then I was kickin myself in the ass. It was a cheap ploy, but still a good game.

I didnt like the first two, just because of the gameplay. The controls werent too hot on the last one, but they seemed more responsive than the previous versions. I actually never played passed the first level of either cause of that.

Silent hill 2 has the best story ever! I've passed it 4 or 5 times, I know what you mean with unresponsive though, you stop running and he still bangs into a wall....I dunno though, somehow it's not a game I play for the actual gameplay, but 90% for the atmosphere and story...
