I lose alot of hair

I lose tons of hair in the shower, or over the course of the day. I'm always finding hair in my books, or like..on my glasses. Just hair. And I'm only 19. Not to mention my hairline is SO high it's hilarious. It's practically on the top of my head.
Anyway, what can I do about this? Is this normal? My roommate is starting to complain and everybody I know has asked me if I'm balding at one point or another.

sorry to say but you are probably balding.
19 years old is not too young for this to start happening. someone in my HS was almost completely bald in his senior year.

wearing a hat constantly probably makes your hair fall out faster IMO

Yeah implants. They take the hair you still have and graft it into the balding areas. A new root is formed and therefore you have a new strand or hair. It is somewhat costly and it will thin out the hair where you are taking the graft from. But it does work. Other then that I wouldn't trust the pills or the gels or ointments. I mean they wouldn't have invasive procedures like transplants if the rogain really worked or else everyone would just use rogain.

Stress, male pettern balding and thyroid problems are pretty common causes. If your hyperactive, or have panic/anxiety or trmemor then you should have thyroid function blood tests. If your hair has changed texture drammatically over the years then its also likely hormonal (thyroid) If youve gained or lost weight rapidly then its the same deal.

Never thought of that, great idea!
J/k, I just shave.
I don't know what happened to me, but I think it was genetic (I've been told you get it from your grandfather on your mother's side and he was bald too), but it also started at about the same time I lost 50 lbs in high school.

Well, I'm a fairly anxious person I guess. I used to have a terrrrriible habit of pulling my hair as a kid. I would tie these huge knots in my hair throughout the day just twirling it around, and by the afternoon I'd have to go to the haircutter and get it cut off =(
But that's not like...permanent. It's just hair, it'll grow back. I also did lose 35 pounds last year, but this isn't a "new to this year" thing.
Also, I hate that fucking .gif. Too much recursive cock.

trichotillomania - the hair pulling disorder freddurgan
maybe get a thyroid function test just to make sure. Actually I'm getting some of the male pattern balding myself, and I'm 24, but I was hoping it either wouldn't come at all, or that I'd have atleast till I was like 40 or so...fuck :{
I've read about Rogaine, but does anyone know if it works?

be careful about using rogaine... it's hard to tell if it is working, it might just be stopping it from getting worse....but you will be too scared to stop using it in case your hairloss increases dramatically.

well, don't mistake natural hairloss for balding. I mean if you can actually see your hair thinning and balding and receding and all then yeah sure you're balding. But if not, then it's possible that you just lose a lot of hair, maybe more so than normal due to stress and other factors. But remember that 10 percent of your hair is always in the resting state and will fall out and 90 percent of your hair is always growing.
