Can a us postal inspector inspect UPS packages? Is it OK for ups workers to go throuhg UPS packages?

Is the US mail watched all that much?

I believe they need a warrant to search U.S. mail. UPS ...FedEx..and others do not require a warrant.

Nope,
US Postal Inspectors can open any piece of mail that goes past their hands. You have to remember USPS inspectors work for a PRIVATE agency. The USPS is not owner by the US government. So in other words, if you agree to ship something through them, you agree to their terms!

How do I know this? I know a postal inspector:) She has opened up every package imaginable! Everything from drugs to people sending their ex-spouses dog shit! Can you imagine the stink that dog shit would have in a hot mail processing room:)

Although you have to rememeber, those inspectors have much better things to do than stand there and look through your mail. Just don't give them a reason and they won't!

Pardon I didn't read close enough. Aye a postal inspector can open any mail they wish. I had in my mind he was talking about The Law searching mail for some reason. That's what I get for posting when dead tired :)>

Hahah, yeah I post when I'm dead tired too sometimes.

He means can a postal inspector open a package. Postal inspectors are employeed by the US Postal Office, not law enforcement. I am pretty sure that they need a search warrant to search a P.O. Box.

There have been many cases when a postal inspector needs to open a package. Sometimes someone will send a bottle of wine and it will break and leak all over. Sometimes packages rip and need repaired. Or they smell like really sweet tasty weed and the inspector wants to get in on the action at the ground floor :) LOL
