Can I add crushed oyster shell or gypsum to a BRF cake?

Would adding a small % of crushed oyster shell to a PF tek cake substrate mix help with fighting off contams? I know it`s supposed to help with casing mixes. Not sure what the Ph of a BRF cake is... but wonder if this might help or if anyone has tried?...........thanks in advance:cool:

you're totally wrong, oyster shell serve to balance ph and to improve structure of the casing layer....read more before asking...and don't crosspost
