dunking help

How do I properly dunk and when should I do this?

Dunk: take a cake and fully submerge it in water (not too cold or warm) for 12 hours (6-24 hours is the range, depending on how dry your cakes are). Remove, and soak up the water on the cake by gently pressing a paper towel against it...

You should dunk when your cake is very dry: feels hard, turning blue, etc. Also, a lot of people dunk after flushes.

By the way, TOOL is one hell of a kick-ass band...
