Ok I asked if anybody has used the reservoir tek with success, and didn't get 1 reply so that won't be used. How does the dunk tek work, if drops of water on a cake are bad during fruting how is dipping the whole cake in water for 12 hours good? To many people are using it for it to not be real. I'm a newbie who is asking stupid questions so I don't make stupid mistakes.

well, when your dunking your not trying to fruit it, but rather your trying to rehydrate your cake. Dunk the cake for 12-24 hours and then when you remove them dab dry the cakes and it solves the water droplet problem your thinking about.

When you dunk, submerge the cakes under the water with a heavy plate (but not to heavy) The cakes are bouyant so you need to find a decently weighted item to keep the cakes under water.

For the resevoir tek, I use the resevoir and dunking teks together, I also put a straw into the resevoir so I can put water into the resevoir easier.
