Ack! Green mold attacking my casing!

I just opened my terrarium about 15 minutes ago to fan and found two small patches of green mold dead center (each about the size of a pinky nail). So I quickly took out the whole casing and cut out about a 4x4 square portion from the corner that had very small pins. I put it in a small tubberware that I bleached and rinsed right before and then filled in the sides with left over substrate that I quickly pasteurized again for 5 min.

Haha, think the new small casing will fruit, or should I just take it out of my terrarium right now and toss it?

i'd toss it. You dont want it to infect your other casings/cakes.

I'd say leave it in, it sounds like it might fruit... but if mold shows up again, toss it...

Cut the green out, fruit separate in a bucket with perlite and covered with transp. plastic.
I am no fan of tossing unless I really have to. I recently had green mold in a straw bed.

I cut all the uncolonied straw, and all the green, out.

I also offered an inch or 2 around the green mold. What was left I cased in small jars, just to have some shrooms and sporeprints.

I logged it for some part

You pasturized the good substrate that had pins on it?
If you did it won't grow you prolly killed it.

Oh ok I read it wrong sorry. Ueah just wait a few days to see what happens.

wait a little bit and see if it gets better, it might fight the contam and win but if you see it start to get bigger or spread toss it :peace:

DONT TOSS IT!
Salt kills green mold.

Spray salt water on the green, with some h202 in it too. Now cut out the green, just deep enough to where you dont see green anymore. Now dab salt on the wounds.
