Has LSD turned my friend turned Christian?

The bassist in my band has become Christian. I think his last LSD experience had something to do with it, but he doesn't. BTW, this really is a friend of mine and not me.

This friend has not ever shown any religious beliefs in the past. He took 3 hits of the acid pictured below as well as some beer. He and a friend went to the store. Unfortunately he started yelling and jumping around and telling the clerk that he was Jesus Christ. Luckily, the clerk just told him to get out.

The next day, he has our drummer drop him off at church. Weither it was the first time he had been there or not, I don't know. What I do know is that he has become dedicated to the church ever since that LSD trip. I asked him if this was what caused the change and he said "no". It's pretty coinsidental if you ask me. I think it's possible that he just doesn't know that the LSD facilitated the change.

I'm not going to try and talk him out of it. He seems to be a lot happier now.

I have had some very spiritual trips, so I know the feeling. I had this one acid trip where I saw a vision, of sorts, of all of my friends rebeling against their birthright and their parents and God was sort of communicating with me telling me something, but I couldn't comprehend it. I was crying and freaking out very silently, so as not to freak out my friends. I gave the rest of my weed away and went straight for about 2 days. :smirk:The shit does get deep sometimes, I'll be the first to admit. That is why you should always prepare yourself for a trip and don't take it for granted or it could bite you on your ass(or on your soul, as it sounds like, for your buddy).

I have spiritually profound trips every time I trip. I can't help it anymore. I just think it's strange that he has converted to Christianity. I guess you'd have to know this guy. You wouldn't think in a million years this guy would become Christian.

I might normally try and talk someone out of choosing a religion and steer them in the direction of seeing all things as "God". However, this guy might just need some direction. Who am I to knock his trip.

Yeah, you should just leave him be and let him find his path. Maybe he reached a pentacle point in his life and the cid helped him to realize that it was time to do something. Alot of people pass these pentacles up without realizing what has happened and something goes amiss in their life and they can't figure out why. I know you are thinking that it is pinnacle and not pentacle, but I think the word I choose is more fitting to the subject. :shrug:

Is it bullshit if your heart believes it to be true and you have complete faith in it? I just think that if someone believes in something that much and it brings them peace, then there has to be more to it than meets the eye. Who are we to say what is real and what is false? That is why we all have the gift of free will. Anyway, I had better quiet down before this thread gets moved to S&P. peace

Exactly. There are good people in any faith. The majority tend to give the good a bad name though. As long as he's happy and it is benefiting him and those around him then I wouldn't worry much about his beliefs.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll let him be. As long as he's happy, i'm not going to try and change him. He said that he isn't going to do any drugs beside alcohol now. I guess because alcohol is more accepted by the church.

LouiseLouise: Have you seen this print on a bigger scale? If so, do you have a link to a picture of it? I want to see what the entire picture showed.
