horrible news and great news.

WEll the horrible news is today I found out my grandpa almost died. He was vomiting blood, and it was urinating blood too i think.  He was in the hospital for a few days and hes out now, but still isn't doing very well.  I talked to him today and he sounded fine, but I know he really isn't he also said he isn't so well but didn't go into details with me.  And I don't think I want to know the details, well i'm not sure if I want to or not.  My mom said he almost died from a bleeding ulcer when she was six.  He has been the most healthy person I've known my whole life, he's not on those gay ridiculous diets, hes just a smart guy and would work out regularly to stay in shape.  He is a tough guy for his age and I have faith that he can pass this.

That got me thinking a lot.  And I realized I have never had someone DIRECTLY related to me die, except when I was really little and I don't remember.  I've had my step grandma die but thats not as emotional for me as my grandpa if he does soon.  I know I can handle it, but he is such a great man and I will hate having him be gone.  I hate talking like this as if he is going to die, but it will happen sometime. 

But on a much much lighter note.




I'M GOING TO THE BAHAMAS OVER EASTER BREAK.  That is gonna be awesome.  It's been a dream of mine to go somewhere like that, I love the crystal clear blue waters and such.  And my mom surprised me with this today. :thumbup: :grin:

death can be a very sad thing but something that i just learned kinda helps me in this area. death can be looked at as a sad thing or a happy thing.. this world only has few great things... life after this is soo much greater then anything that we can imagine. or if you believe in re-birth then you could look at it as he is about to embark on a great journey. we only fear death because it is the great unknown. We should look at death as a journey to rebirth

Sorry to hear about your grandad, man. My grandma died on Thanksgiving, 2003, so I know how you are feeling. Kinda like a feeling of impending doom hanging over your head. I hope things work out for the best.

On a brighter note, the Bahamas is a real cool place! I went to Nassau, about 8 years ago and had a great time. I was on a cruise ship and I really want to do this again, soon. :thumbup: :thumbup:

I'm sorry to hear that YEM.  :frown:  My grandfather is getting to that point also...he's had a few strokes and can barely talk, much less remember who I am.  It's very sad, but I just try and remember that he's lived a full and happy life. 

I'm wishing your grandfather and family the best.  :heart:

Thank you. It's tough to see it happening but you just gotta look at it in a positive light.

lookslikerain- We were originally planning from the march 27-31. But we might be staying a whole week now.
