mycelium excreta?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what these droplets of amber-colored liquid are which occasionally form on the surface of a mass of mycelium? I have a few drops in one of my rye jars and also on an unhealthy-looking cake in one of my terraria...

ive already seen this before. they're beautiful amber droplets, aint them? i think its some water charged with hormones for fruiting, this droplet may become a cap. or rather, an abhort, before u get the good caps... this amber shit is whats going to be the top of the cap tissue, ive already had some formless abhorts with bubbles of brownish top-of-cap-tissue...
it should not be a contam, but be careful, it can be sign of a too high humidity....

i hate witty sigs / if anything i say has something in common with reality, this is a merely a coincidence.

That yellow liquid is just waste by-products of the fungus. Shroom poopie if you will. Nothing to be alarmed about, but if there is a lot of it in the jars, it could eventually drown the mycelium in its own shit.

How long have the jars been incubating?

Yeah, mycelium excreta.  What else could it be?  I wonder what mushroom pee tastes like? :laugh:
That jar has been sitting around for ages; I just never got around to casing it (until today; I used it to spawn some manure in an ice cream tub).
