Small Water Droplets on Mycelium
    #1239318 - 01/22/03 11:03 AM (14 years, 7 months ago)

I have two casings in a rubbermaid container. Two nights ago I lightly misted the container (aiming for the walls), as I can't fit any perlite in there (the casings cover the entire floor of the terrarium). I now have small water droplets on the mycelium. Is this OK?

No? I figured the droplets would stop oxygen from reaching the mycelium, and perhaps form carbonic acid (water + CO2). You seem to know your stuff so I'll leave it.

Thanks
Viking

We are talking about small droplets here. Not about a flood.

Well, it looks a lot like when a spider web gets wet...a small laticework of droplets everywhere. It's definitely not flooded though.

I totally agree with Anno.
There is nothing wrong with fine water droplets on them.
But a puddle is another story.

We get mist in the morning here....and the mushrooms come out after the mist.
Hell it rains and they come out.

I fine mist my casings even during pinning...and have no problems at all.
I actually find it benifical.
