hey that sounds familiar.. I came to florida from virginia and got put in jail for 2 grams of weed and a pipe and several flexerils.. except I wasn't going on a cruise. What's crazy is I think I know that guy from Fairfax.. what the fuck. I hate the fucking drug laws.

yeah and it helps if you have wads of money too.. that way you can just wave it in the cops face so they will let you go.. or take it and put you in jail.. whichever mood they are in.

My friend does the lights for Galactic, and he and another of my friends got on for free. They did search the bands gear and everything. He said there were like 6 agencies all with dogs searching people since last year some dumbass gave a waitress a chocolate and then she freaked out. Some of the bands were busted trying to smuggle in shit in their road cases, since those are never ever checked.
BUT!!!...
They said that more than enough drugs made it onto the boat, there were shrooms, acid, x, and weed galore. And a funny side note, was that the day after Jamcruise was over, there was a christian retreat cruise boarding that boat after they left...

wow they totally profiled the 'jam cruise' demographic. normally you can get OUT of the US with zero problems. even right after 9/11. its coming back in they like to get ya for fruit or alcohol or large amounts of cash undeclared or drugs of course. i wonder how many drunk drivers killed people in jacksonville while all those cops were busy dealing with the influx of drug offenders.

Yea that fuckin blows...what a waste of time and energy and innocent lives.
Anyone else notice the careers of these drug offenders?  Dentist.  Accountant.  Telecommunications....  :wink:

I agree but it's secret that they aren't.

They knew what they were doing.

When I do drugs I know it's illegal, sure I wish it wasn't but I know what I'm doing and understand what the laws say. If I get busted you won't hear me bitching and moaning.

I must of been incarnated into the wrong country... it just makes sense to me that drugs should be legal and regulated, along with prostitution... this would make sense on so many levels besides the pig job level it would obliterate. :smirk: But I'm not too sympathetic when it comes to this level.
