Peter Jennings Reporting: Ecstacy Rising - 2004 - 316 MB [.torrent]
    #4512798 -

In memory of Peter Jennings, I created and uploaded a torrent to Conspiracy Central Tracker of his 2004 special on MDMA - Ecstacy Rising.

I chose this tracker because users must register (free & easy) and the torrents are not sent out all over the net - this tracker is less well-known, so there is less legal risk of uploading this. The tracker only has a few users (as compared to super torrent sites like mininova and torrentspy and isohunt), so it is most likely not monitored. Plus, the industry isnt concerned with old tv airings, only big Hollywood movies and series that they make money from.

If you guys are unfamiliar with the special, here is a review from Erowid: http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/mdma/mdma_media1.shtml

Quote:
We are rarely surprised by media coverage about recreational psychoactives. Most can be lumped into the broad genre of sensationalist expos? about the terrible dangers of drugs designed to titillate teens and frighten parents. The ABC News special "Ecstasy Rising", first aired on April 1st, 2004, stands out mostly because of the very high contrast with the typical news stories about the illegal use of psychoactives. It also stands out because it represents a real effort to document some of the serious failings in the government's 'war on ecstasy' and some of the collateral damage that it has caused.

Here is the direct link to the torrent: torrent info - you must register first.

316 MB
DivX - TV rip
April 2004

If you are new to bittorrent, download/install a client first. I recommend ABC - download the small .torrent file and open it up in ABC. The movie should start to download.

I ask everyone who downloads to please seed 100%+ - I only have so much bandwidth, so your help would be greatly appreciated. People who hit and run are  - dont be like that.

Enjoy
and spread this most excellent report.

This is awesome. I have a copy on VHS. Great for letting your skeptic friends and family in on some truth.

I show this in my intro to psychology class I teach. The purpose isn't so much to promote MDMA usage, but to show how important it is to get real factual data. It's really an eye opener to the fact that the information you recieve
can be outright bullshit propaganda.
BTW Thanks to Kindadank for sending me the tape after the show aired

The link to the torrent is down. Website isn't responding. Have things run it's course? I've noticed this is a few weeks old.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

Also, if you're torrent-shy, Pot TV has it on streaming video. It's an excellent report, and well worth the time to watch it!
