Buddy Rich wasn't a drunk asshole, he was a pot head asshole. It was in his biography written by Mel Torme. I agree that he was the best drummer, that I've ever seen at least. The drum battles between Buddy and Ed Shaughnessy were always fun to watch.

RIP, I saw it on t.v. then I shouted to my mom that he died, she was like "Shut he hell up and quit it with the constant bullshitting." Then she actually saw it on the t.v. Very sad, oh well, he was pretty old.

I loved the tonight show when johnny was doing it. this is the worst news since he quit doing the show. rip carson, entertain hendrix and garcia up there.
