Double Inoculation mistake

I had 2 jars and inoculated 1 with B+ and another with somthing that was labeled CR. I got the jars mixed up and accidentaly inoculated 1 jar with 2 different spores..is this a problem? should i throw out this jar?

Let it go, the only problem you will have if one syringe was contaminated, other than that two different cubes have found love.

Sounds better than it actually is. Definitely do NOT throw it out. However, be aware. In any case, both strains are going to duke it out, fighting for resources.

The following could happen:

1) Both strains having problems developing leading to under-developed fruits (read: your yield is hurting)

2) One strain "wins" and takes over, but not without the cost of war

3) No strain "wins" and you watch as your cakes slowly pin, abort, and give birth to strange mutants

Of course, the other innoc might not take hold at all and you could end up with a one-strain (well, not counting the fact that it is a multi-spore innoc in the first place :smile:

But...don't make spore prints from anything that grows from that one jar.
Cause you won't know which strain might grow.

If you want to make spore prints from your other mushrooms :
Keep track of that jar...don't mix it up with the others.
If you are doing PF cakes...mark that one cake...and don't make prints from it.

Please don't trade any prints from this 2 strain jar.
Cause we don't want strains to get mixed up in the community.
