contamination expert needed!

I know that this belongs in the Contam forum, but there's way more traffic here, and I need an answer quick. Please remove this thread after an answer has been given.

My friend had this jar that didnt grow any mycelium after 6 weeks. It smelled like vanilla/alcohol put together. There wasnt any contam, like a big blotch in the jar, but it really smelled (after wrapping it in three plastic bags, you could still smell it) The brf had kinda "separated" and it looked outlined in black. (I guess that was the contam)
So anyways, she BURIED the contaminated jar's contents in her backyard. What an idiot, because she has a DOG who dug it up.
So now she's not sure if the dog ate any, but she wants to know if this particular contam is deadly/causes illness?
Please, if you know what type of contam this is juding by what I just told you, respond immediately! She doesn't want her cute puppy-dog to die...

Your kidding right??? Dogs eat their own shit and rotting roadkill.. I'm sure anything in that cake would be harmless to the stomach of a dog...

Whew, that's a relief to know that my friends dog wont die. Still, it's a possibility, isn't it?

A while back I read a thread about 3M almost DYING doe to some contam (niger?) because he inhaled it.

If my friend and her dog inhaled the contam, they could get sick, right? Oh well, I'm sure nothing will happen to them... Next time, she says she'll just throw out the contam; no more taking ANY chances.
