Ya, everything produces abhorts.

There is a really cool mould which affects several species of mushrooms. It halts their growth and turns them into orange 'Lobster Mushrooms'. This mould is called Hypomyces lactifluorum and affects several species of Lactarius and Russula. This mould turns unedible mushrooms into choice edibles and is one example of abhorts in nature.

I think there are a few abhorts running around here as well!
