Tupperware bin and air exchange
    #3612976 - 01/11/05 03:45 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

People suggest to open the tupperware bin and fan by hand 3 times a day but why couldnt you cut a piece of the lid off and tape in tyvek to allow air exchange. Why wouldnt this work??

I would think you wouldnt be able to keep the humidity right, unless the hole was small, but then you would defeat the purpose of putting it there.

First off whats going to push air through the tyvek? Second tyvek is horrible for air exchange...

Polyfil stuffed in holes at the bottom of the tub and top of the tub could provide minimal adequate air exchange but fanning with the lid or an automated air source would be much better. Optimal conditions is all the air in the chamber replaced FULLY 3-6 times every hour (give or take.. I may be a few exchanges off)....3-6 times a day works..even less really..but when you go with "what works" instead of optimal you end up with less then optimal yeilds.
