Opium first time, need someone experienced.

I've been thinking bout trying Opium lately, I dont want to do it regularly or have it take up a significant part of anything, but i do want to try it.

Anyone have any tips for a first time such as how much ill need, best way to smoke it, etc. Any help would be apreciated

i tried opium once, and it was really cool. but i never cared to put the effort forth to try it again. it was a very clear headed high for me. i didnt have any kind of stupor or anything. its fun to debate and talk on opium. wonder if its the same as taking a bunch of opiate painkillers....

First time I ever got high in my life was hash laced w/ opium.  It was my only opium experience.  But I don't remember much so I can't be of help here. :crazy:

I think I'm the right person in this topic. Best ways of consuming raw opium, is eating, dissolving in water or alcohol and drinking, or of course smoking. If its your first time get a chunk about the size of a matchhead and "Chase the Dragon" ( look in my guide, in my sig). You dont have to do it on aluminum, i do mine on a thin sheet of glass and a butane torch. Your def going to want to smoke laying down on the floor with some BIG pillows :cool: Good Luck and Have Fun!

Dosage can vary wildly with the strength of the extract. Start with a very small ball (~.1 grams) mixed with weed, and add more as desired. You can smoke it any piece, but the smoke is somewhat harsh, so you may want to use something with water in it. Effects fade within approximately a couple hours in SWIM's experience, leaving a slight residual mental fog, and SWIM finds within a few hours of smoking, he feels a desire to smoke again. Side effects are the usual opiate fare: slight headache (day after especially), nausea, constipation.

DO NOT use something with water in it! Opiates are water souluble unlike THC. Putting it through water only means lost opiates unless you want to drink the bong water  :argh:

Also true opium is not harsh at all, and in fact a very pleasant sweet smoke.

First, unless you grow poppies, you wont find real raw opium in the US. All raw opium from the Golden Triangle and Middle East is eaither sold to the Pharm companies or sold to black market for Herion Manufacturing. It would not be worth it money wise to just import it as raw opium (more weight, costs less per amount of weight) and let Americans manufacture it and make all of the money, insted cook down all of thier opium into a morphine base, and then into Herion, witch net worth goes up 2000% when it crosses the border into the states. Think of it this way, a joi (1.5 kilos) goes for 245$ american, witch can then produce 3/4 to a 1 kilo of a tan to off white Herion witch is tagged with the GT 99.9 witch is to indicate 99.9% purity. It is then smuggled into the states where it sells for 225,000$ wholesale witch is then cut up and destributed and can be made up to 1$ dollars us. Anyways if you or a friend gets ahold of some raw latex from a fellow gardener, It will most likely be a dull back (not shiny),or if hes a true opium smoker, will cook it down witch would then look like chocolate glass.
