is this a HPS lamp or halogen?

call me stupid but i can't figure it out..  i don't know much about lights and such, but i'm wondering if this lamp will sufficiently provide enough light to grow a nice plant. :wink:

that's garbage for growing plants. it will put off way more heat than light needed.

keep it though and hook it up to a motion sensor outside. :wink:
a little added security for when you plan on getting a grow going.

I've used halogens for photo floods, you'd be suprised at how well they work
