hey, this might be a stupid ass idea, but anyone think it would be possible to mix some nice bud into the substrate your colonizing, then pressure cook it to activate the cannaboids? would shrooms grow out of this and would they process the THC? just an idea

Mushrooms are DECOMPOSERS, whish means your bud would just rot away. Mushrooms don't absorb thc, or anything they grow on for that matter. If that were the case, in the wild they'd all taste like cow shit. Don't let your pot go to waste: smoke the stuff.

high temperatures destroy the thc... it wouldnt work, it might smell good like weed but it wouldnt do anything special upon consumption, and it would just plain be a waste of good buds.... don't do it, it won't work... waste of time.

people like you should get a little bit of common sense. i would sell my soul for a gram of normal chronic right now. a better odea would be to make some homemade acid (if you know how) and mix every vile of acid with 1 1/2 cups of water and spray it over the shrooms (when theyre growing) every few days. that would be a good idea!!!!

weed + shrooms is no doubt a noble and worthwhile endeavor, however, you're not gonna get good results with that approach.. Save the weed and grow some shrooms on rye or brown rice flour or some other cheap but good substrate material. Then make some canna-butter and saute the mushrooms in it.


Believe in yourself, keep an open mind and enjoy a spirited sense of adventure.

Experimentation is the key to everything. If you never ask questions, or try anything new or different, you will never grow and learn. When you don't know the fundamentals of mycology, then his question is not such a bad one, it shows that the kid is a'thinkin. Just because it won't work doesn't make it a stupid question. Who knows, mabey his next question will provide a breakthrough of some kind.

i thought maybe with the nutrient intake by mycelium some cannaboids may be brought in as well. its not that far-fetched.

how about this one: i got ONE pf p. cub cake sitting on a wet papertowel suspended 1/4 inch above water. the mycelium has overgrown the entire paper towel. the myelium sent branches down into the water, and out of every spot where the myc. is touching water, there is a shroom growing. most are 6-7 inches tall, they pinned 6 days ago, and there are probably 30-40 shrooms. this is the first flush. from one cake. not to bad, huh? maybe i should feed them some kind bud ;)

miastor - no, it wouldnt take any cannabinoids up with the nutrients because after sterilization all the cannabinoids would be destroyed.... heat kills thc.... thats one of the many reasons you can dehydrate your freshly cut buds in the clothes dryer (that and the tumbling knocks the thc off)... and i shit you not, cooking cannabis in a pressure cooker at 15psi for 10 minutes or more would sure as hell kill all the thc... your best bet would be what egghead sugested... but heat also kills psilocin and psilocibin, so you would be heating the bud butter and the shrooms which both are destroyed by heat, so im not sure if that would be the best way to go about it.....
and for everyone caling him a dumbass, shut the fuck up, hes just trying to learn you assholes....
