Wher are all the hip scenes?

Places, or people that are really hip, and unique. I heard they'r is a hippie commune in Denmark. Or a group of nomadic hippies that travel the woods of the U.S. calling themselves the Rainbow family.
When i was in the crazy house, my roomate told me of a town around New-Brunfulls Texas, or somewher called Dogtown, that was filled with anarchists, and punks.
He told me that him, and his brother owned housing, and ran guns there. At the time it sounded appealing, but not so much now, anyway it sounded interesting.


So the question is, is there somewhere in this world how ever small, or far away that is truly unique, and Hip?

hehe the rainbow family is a definate wondeful place to end up... i had teh opportunity when i was sixteen to spend three days with them up in northern arizona.... life changing experience.

also.. depends on what you mean by hip. you could go to the emo club scene and cut your hair like its not cut. youd get girls like that with the newfabdangled tight lowrise jeans and there hair in their faces all lookin like.. damn. i stop now. im going to the emo club.

Yeah I dont know guy go kick rocks and drift around new places. when the town people see some chill new drifter in town they will scoop you up and show you the way. Each town has its own crew its own ways and its own secrets.
Found many wonderful friends and some totaly awsome places just drifting....

Yeah, I'd love to join the Rainbow Family......it's probably real hard though...with all the undercovers and all, I know i'd be paranoid of strangers.  :shrug:

hippy commune in denmark? are you talking about christiania? well the values it was founded on were certainly "hippyish" but nowadays most of the old heads have moved out to a big farm in southern Jytland (the big island of Denmark that is connected to Germany). christiania is more filled with hip-hoppers, drunk Greenlandics, and a couple of heads who must have loved Copenhagen to much to leave, today. that being said, Copenhagen in general (and Christiania in specific) has a pretty "hip" scene... lots of good jazz, lots of good breweries, lots of good hash... that's all i really require, anyhow :smile:

For real? Waco is a shit hole. I lived on the streets there for alittle while.
and Austin is the only hip place in Texas.
