Is it possible to eat the rice/vermiculite cakes ( fully colonised ) and if so do I need to remove Vermiculite?

If you make your cakes with bird seed I know theres a tea you cake make with cakes that works great from what I've heard, because the mycelium contans "magic".

Control for smilers can't be bought.

If you really want to trip off the cakes, the best way is to crush them up really good and then boil them in water and lemon juice making tea. Make sure you crush up all the bits of mycelium as best as you can. When straining the liquid, I have found it works best to use a thin cloth or T-shirt so that you can force the liquid through it using your hands because it tends to be a little bit thick. I would say do at least three cakes worth.

if you grow the cakes with grain (& leave out the vermiculite) you can just slice & cook up the cakes & sprinkle 'em with a little soy suce for shroomy rice patties...
you probably shouldn't eat verviculite---talk about "roughage" ...

i would wait till you pick atleast some shrooms before you do that!! i think if you eat vermiculit youde get sandpaper shit. you cant just take out the vermiculite (after its fully colonized) either. i make my cakes from finch seed and i wouldnt think that it would be too good for a human to eat birdfood either. you got to be desperate to eat cakes also!!
