af currently uses distilled water with his rye grain jars, is distilled the way to go or should he use spring water?

what about for his casings?--distilled or spring? --he cases with verm only.

From what I understand (still new to this) spring water is much better. Distilled and other water have many nutrients removed. I started with distilled and switched to spring after reading many posts on this subject here and have experienced much faster colonization times with rye quarts - 20 days. Steep or cook your rye in spring water. As for syringes, I imagine spring is also better, that's what I have been using for my malt jars and they are finished within 21 days. Hope this helps.
