Water Type

Does the type of water used for the cake mix (and any other water added to the project for that matter) make much of a difference? Would using spring water have an advantage over distilled water or properly filtered tap water?

I'm thinking about using bottled (still) spring water. The tap water around here (south-east England) is very hard, and full of limescale. Our water implements literally have lime rocks forming in them. Anybody else have an issue with this?

So, the nutrients which may be present in spring water don't benefit the growth process compared to "dead" distilled water?
