Fast growing Mycelium or mold

I injected some Honey water useing Club99's Honey water tek. about 12 hours after innoculating there was white fuzz comeing from the spore clumps. now after 24 hours there are 1/4" long strands coming off the spore clumps.
Is this mold or is the Mycelium growing fast?
It is a thai KS strain if that helps

SWEET!! I think that sounds great and would be really happy about that growth! Maybe if you send a message to Club99 s/he would be able to confirm that everything is fine?


What is your substrate (just curious) and what are you planning on using for casing?

In honey water mycelium will germinate and grow faster than in substrate, thats one of the purposes for a liquid medium.

thanks to both of you. I was thinking it was mycelium my self but that just seemed too fast to be good :)
Also that jar i had used those little Mcdonalds honey things it was just an experiment i figured nothign or contams would happen. Odd thing is the real honey i used for some other jars has not started any growth but it has only been a day.

I will be useing the honey water to start it.
Then inject into BR/Verm substrate
and i am not sure if i am going to case with straight verm or go for the 50/50 yet. I have a ton of jars to innoculate so i am going to play with a few differnt things and see what works best.
I have a journal that i am making to track my progress if all goes good i will probobly post that for others to read on here.

Pm'ed Club99 he said that mold should nto grow in the honey water only on the surface. So i looks like it i indeed mycelium.
By the way today the growth has once again doubled and is almost encapsleating all the spore clusters.
